Andrew Frymann has been busily in practice since April 1996, some 21 years now. He defends and prosecutes, and values his role as independent Counsel. He gives robust advice based upon extensive trial experience.

When defending he fearlessly pursues his client’s interests, and is adept at protecting his client’s interests in multi-handed cut-throat trials. When prosecuting he prides himself upon and is well known for being fair and even handed, and scrupulous in his preparation and approach to disclosure. Crucially, he is trusted to know in detail the workings of every aspect of Public Interest Immunity and RIPA, having attended upon and advised in innumerable (PII) case conferences, and so is uniquely placed to defend cases featuring the likely presence of telephone intercept materials, informants and participating informants, surveillance materials and methodology, and complex ‘phone evidence.

He has been privately Instructed to advise Channel 4 who were resisting a recent libel action F v Channel 4, where their defence had RIPA repercussions.

Andrew Frymann is an active member of the Criminal Bar Association and South Eastern Circuit; keeps up-to-date with Criminal Law Week and Crimeline; is a qualified pupil supervisor; he is technologically adept and can case manage innumerable pages of evidence, exhibits and unused materials to, for example, analyse complex ‘phone cell site evidence and billing history/call data; and is a member of the Cybercrime Practitioners Association. He is also running Furnival Chambers Child and Vulnerable Witness Advocacy training in December and January, having been trained and accredited as a training facilitator by the South Eastern Circuit.
