Liban Abdi, a prolific sex attacker, described by the judge on conviction as “very dangerous” was convicted by a jury in 3 hours on all 10 counts after a four week trial. The prosecution case comprised a variety of expert evidence including gait movement evidence by Professor Birch and which the Court of Appeal acknowledged as admissible in R v Ferdinand, 2012.[see: http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Crim/2014/1243.html ]

Liban Abdi will be sentenced on 22 March.
