Acquittals for clients charged with assisting organised criminals

Yesterday, at Croydon Crown court and following a 6-week trial, Julian Winship and Ben Gordon secured acquittals for their respective clients, both of whom were charged with assisting the activities of organised criminals.
The investigation included a surveillance operation which persisted for over a year, and which monitored the work being done at a vehicle repair yard. The defendants were an automotive electrician and a vehicle trader and had been accused of working together to modify vehicles with the installation of hidden compartments.
