Craig Harris instructed for Leicestershire Foxes in crucial cricket appeal

Leicestershire CCC has announced it intends to appeal against a Cricket Discipline Panel decision to uphold a charge in relation to the condition of its pitch, during a recent fixture against Glamorgan CCC, and the consequent deduction of points that puts the Club at jeopardy of relegation from the top-flight – and leaves final league standings uncertain, as the first balls are bowled in the final round of fixtures in the 2026 season, this week.

Craig is instructed in anticipation of the appeal, which raises important questions – for the first time – about the interplay between the ECB’s Ptich Regulations, on the one hand, and its Division One Playing Conditions, on the other.
