Craig Harris in significant FA appeal concerning agents fees for player transfers
Craig Harris acted successfully for the former CEO of Hartlepool United FC before the FA Appeal Board, in The FA v Hartlepool Utd & Others.
The case concerned ‘disguised’ payments of agents fees for player transfers. The Appeal Board’s decision (the Board having heard appeals against sanction by the Football Club, its CEO at the time and the agents concerned) is significant for considering the extent to which ‘deterrent’ sanctions may be imposed within the framework of the FA’s current disciplinary procedures.
