Eleanor Umeyor successful in youth appeal against sentence
Eleanor Umeyor’s youth client was sentenced to a 10-month Detention and Training Order following a guilty plea at the earliest opportunity to s.20 GBH, ABH and having a bladed article in a public place. The sentence was appealed as manifestly excessive. The appeal was allowed by Snaresbrook Crown Court and the client was re-sentenced to a Youth Rehabilitation Order with Intensive Supervision and Surveillance.
Eleanor was instructed by Lauren Alphonse of AB Mackenzie Solicitors.
