Kane Sharpe secures acquittal in burglary trial at Luton Crown Court.
The Crown’s case alleged Kane’s client had burgled a house, stolen car keys, then driven away in the vehicle parked outside. The defendant was found in recent possession of the stolen car nearby.
A tactical decision was made for the defendant’s myriad previous convictions for burglary and other dishonesty matters to go before the jury by agreement. Upon conviction the defendant would have been treated as a ‘third strike’ domestic burglar.
The jury returned a unanimous verdict of not guilty.
