Manveer Cheema secures not guilty verdicts in ‘county lines’ Class A drug trial.

Undercover officers observed the defendant leaving a ‘drug den’ at 2am. When approached, he immediately fled from officers and discarded a phone, which, following a full download, was revealed to be the ‘drug line’.

The defendant admitted to staying at the ‘drug den’ for 2-3 weeks with his brother, but denied any knowledge or involvement in drugs supply, despite the property holding a vast quantity of drugs and cash.

The jury were informed that the defendant’s brother had pleaded guilty to the same charges.

After only 35 minutes’ deliberation, the jury returned unanimous not guilty verdicts on the entire four-count indictment.
