Nick James publishes article on troubling area of reliability of ‘Expert’ witnesses in criminal trials
The recent and well-publicised embarrassment of Mr Ager, a self proclaimed ‘expert’ in Carbon Trading in a trial at Southwark Crown Court raised a number of wider questions about the use of experts in criminal trials. Mr Ager had been relied upon in numerous previous trials which will now be subject to review. Nick James has co-authored an article considering the issues raised by this worrying case.
