Nick James publishes article on troubling area of reliability of ‘Expert’ witnesses in criminal trials

The recent and well-publicised embarrassment of Mr Ager, a self proclaimed ‘expert’ in Carbon Trading in a trial at Southwark Crown Court raised a number of wider questions about the use of experts in criminal trials. Mr Ager had been relied upon in ┬ánumerous previous trials which will now be subject to review. Nick James has co-authored an article considering the issues raised by this worrying case.
