Richard Hearnden secures the conviction of a man who carved his name into a girl’s leg. Using a pencil sharpener blade, Leon Vaghela, 22, cut his name into the flesh of a 16 year old girl who was known to him and while she was high on drugs. Vaghela was unanimously convicted by a jury at Guilford Crown Court on 25 July of wounding with intent and two counts of rape, on the same victim. He will be sentenced at a later date.
