Rory Gordon Represents Company in Serious Fire Safety Prosecution

Rory Gordon acted on behalf of a company charged with ten offences under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including failure to comply with a restriction imposed by a Prohibition Notice. The company entered guilty pleas to all counts at its first appearance.
The prosecution submitted that the seriousness of the offending placed the offences in a category with a starting point of a £250,000 fine. Following extensive mitigation, the court instead imposed a total fine of just over £60,000.
Rory was instructed and expertly assisted by Kanagasabai Sriram and Menen Tharmakulasingam of Sabeers Stone Greene LLP.
