Royal Household Corruption Convictions
Reporting restrictions were lifted yesterday in the case of R v Harper and Ors at Southwark Crown Court.
David Durose, leading Nicholas Hearn, secured convictions against Ronald Harper a former senior manager within the property department of the Royal Household. In each of two separate trials Mr Harper was convicted of conspiring with the directors of a number of mechanical and electrical engineering companies to receive corrupt payments in return for showing favour regarding the award of mechanical and engineering contracts.
