Man walking past railings

Sahara Fergus-Simms’ client acquitted of rape, intentional strangulation and exposure after 8-day trial at Wood Green CC.

The Crown’s case was significantly undermined after the complainant was cross-examined revealing a variety of inconsistencies with her ABE interview. The case was also heavily reliant on telephone records and messages which revealed that the 17-year-old complainant had posed as a 19-year-old. The exposure count related to conduct complained about by police officers who had later arrested the client.

Sahara was instructed and ably assisted by Ella Hughes of Rustem Guardian Solicitors
