Successful defence under Section 45, Modern Slavery Act 2015

Sahara Fergus-Simms successfully ran a defence under section 45 Modern Slavery Act 2015 in a large-scale cannabis cultivation case at Woolwich Crown Court. The client was an Albanian national who said that he had been trafficked into the United Kingdom and forced into criminality. The jury unanimously acquitted.
