Verdicts of not guilty by reason of insanity at Harrow Crown Court.

George Payne of Furnival Chambers and Stephen Davies of Edwards Duthies Shamash Solicitors secure verdicts of not guilty by reason of insanity at Harrow Crown Court.  Representing a privately funded defence by someone suffering from schizophrenia George Payne secured verdicts of not guilty by reason of inanity.  At trial the jury heard complex psychiatric evidence as well as a series of witnesses to the good character of the defendant.  The defendant had been accused of possessing two knives in a public place in London.  The Judge imposed an absolute discharge at the end of the trial given the medical recovery the defendant had made.  Litigated by Stephen Davies of Edwards Duthie Shamash Solicitors
